Widely recognized as the highest-performing portfolio on campus, BSE serves as a cornerstone of experiential learning for students passionate about finance and investment management. The organization is committed to equipping its members with invaluable hands-on experience in portfolio management, offering a platform to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world financial scenarios. Members actively collaborate in industry teams to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities, conduct comprehensive financial analyses, and make informed buy, sell, or hold decisions. Blue Sapphire Equities is a distinguished firm housed within the Gamma Chi chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. As one of the chapter’s internal organizations, it reflects AKPsi’s commitment to professional excellence and provides members with a unique space to grow together under the shared values of the fraternity. It stands as a point of pride within Gamma Chi, strengthening the chapter’s legacy of leadership and brotherhood.

With significant AUM and small partnership, Blue Sapphire Equities manages high capital-to-investor ratios and acutely develops members for careers with the best firms in the world. BSE employs a focus in industries including Industrials, Consumer Staples, Technology, Energy & Utilities, and Healthcare, to construct a diversified portfolio that seeks relative outperformance of S&P 500. The fund also retains a research-heavy focus that plays to the academic strengths of its partnership. Blue Sapphire Equities is an active recruiter of the most distinguished students at Miami University through a multiple staged admissions process that is designed to test investment expertise and evaluate a holistic fit within the organization. On an absolute-basis, the fund’s returns have beat the S&P 500 by an average of 4% annually over the past five years.
